Green with Red Trees Everglades ©2011 Angeline Marie encaustic on panel 8 x 8 inches |
The rhythm of this encaustic painting is a little different than those of the past because I used an encaustic iron.
Goes a little something like this:
melt
heat
swipe swipe
heat
swipe swipe
melt
swipe
heat
drip
swipe
cool
carve
heat
melt
swipe swipe
carve
heat
cool
shine
The more than one swipe means that a few passes of the encaustic iron was made over the 12x12 inch clapboard panel.
This post is for Macarena, who mentioned she was enjoying these rhythm posts when we spoke at my Florida Heat art exhibit on May 7th.
Save the date! You are invited to share more art on Saturday, August 20th, at the Children's Gallery and Art Center!
Remember, too, to explore Paris, France with me during my Fridays in France posts which began Friday, May 6th.
Smiles!!!!
