Inspires me to travel...

I see my path, but I don't know where it leads. Not knowing where I'm going is what inspires me to travel it." --Rosalia de Castro, Galician writer

Reading this quote struck me on a few levels:
- my grandfather was from Galicia, Spain (Foz-Lugo)
- I know where I WANT to go...
- don't know WHAT I'm doing...
- inspired to paint any way.

Sometimes, I start a painting, and wonder if I truly know how to draw & paint. I get stuck on a the one with horses. I'm done with the horses painting (watch for the blog post later this week)...for those who helped THANK YOU. It is truly strange to even begin a piece of art and not see how it will be finished. This quote is truly inspiring, because it is alright not to know where you are going all of the time.

The photo below is a reminder to me to find little things fascinating. I don't know what path the photo will ever lead me onto, but I keep it any way. The patina of the decades is on the bridge, from salt water, wind, and rain. The reflection of the cloudy day on the water is gorgeous. That was a path someone began many decades ago, and now serves as a reminder that it was travelled often enough to need a second one. Andy was driving, I was enjoying the view from the newer bridge.

Bridge no longer in use, the Florida Keys.

Angeline-Marie: I am a writer who has traveled the world with my wonderful wife for many years. I was very fortunate and blessed in my life - I never knew where I was going. As a result, I'm still headed there. Life is good. Go to Spain!

JJ: As far as Spain, one day I will return. I was able to travel a lot with mi Mama...who now just wishes to travel around Miami. We went all over the world together and still is my best and favorite travel partner.

You are blessed with a wonderful wife & adventures! I am glad you are still "headed there," and that you always continue on...!
