Audience Participation Requested! 2nd of 2...Horses

"Horse Play," 20x24 in., acrylics on canvas, 2010 copyright the artist

Thanks to some critiques from Santiago, Clif, and Blanca, this piece is finished.

The comments incorporated were:

1. because the landscape felt realistic, so the purple colored horse did not seem to fit.
2. the blue area at the top right was confusing because it could be sky or water, but not both.

Thank you to everyone who participated!

Smiles,

A-M: I think this painting is superb! It reminds me of the work of Dutch painter, Paulus Potter, except I like yours better (I teach Integrated Arts in college, which is how I know his work). Very impressive. Thank you.

JJ,
THANK YOU!!!! I found some images by Paulus Potter. Mine are rendered loosely compared to Potter's beautifully realistic horses.

I wish I had taken a course like Integrated Arts back in the day. The Honors College replaced all those type of courses with their own. The price was probably a few great courses that would have been greatly enjoyed.
