Art donated to United Way's Miami Wine and Food Festival 2010

Recently, a United Way representative contacted me to find out if I was interested in donating a piece of art to their silent auction. United Way of Miami-Dade County is one of my favorite charities because of all the different agencies assisted with the funds they distribute. Of course, I said yes!

The event is this weekend! If you love wine and food, the Miami Wine and Food Festival is a festival to enjoy!

I would have posted a photo or two here, but such was the rush that I did not realize that I have no decent photo of either piece to display! Between a 3.2 MP to a 6 MP to a now 12 MP camera...and the second computer over the last six years, well, I have noticed some lost images and badly pixelated files. Why abuse your site with one of those images? LOL

One is an acrylics on paper, 5 x 7 inch yellow orchid, golden yellows and browns on a gray background with a gold tone simple frame. One of my favorite orchids that I painted when I was on an orchid phase. The second is the Coconut Grove Marina, about 10 x 8 inches on a wood panel. It has mangroves in the background with some sailboats on the ocean water. It was painted on site.

Smiles!

A-M: I didn't realize it was this weekend, but next year I will try to make it. My wife used to raise money for United Way. Great cause.

JJ, I didn't either when the pieces were requested! Yes, United Way is a great cause. They have even helped members of my family.
