Shopping for flooring is boring unless you are at Palmetto Carpet Company in the Bird Road Art District. Displayed at this venue are sculptures and paintings by artists such as Abel and Erik Speyer. The sculptures are incorporated in the space to startle your eyes from the displays. Oh, were floors mentioned? Space curator and flooring expert Robert has carpet, tile, and wood floor samples here, too. The space is laid out as if an art museum showroom of colors and textures. For eye candy and flooring needs, visit this hybrid art space.
The super moon on the evening of March 19 continued to follow Andy and I as we bumped into Life is Art's James Echols and Annette Peikert of Julia K. Wakefield just out side of Mano's Fine Art studio. Down the street was the busiest stop complete with interactive mural painting and musical jam session at the Daedalus Project.
The Bird Road Art District's art walk is held the third Saturday of every month. For more information, please visit them at http://www.facebook.com/pages/Bird-Road-Art-District/ The next scheduled walk is this Saturday, April 16, from 7pm to 11pm.
You are invited on May 7th at Dharma Studio during Coconut Grove's Second Saturday Art Walk. My art will be on display this evening from 7pm to 11pm. The art and event is friends and family friendly! See you there!
