Arm Chair Museum Visits

Many museums are sharing their art collections on the Internet these days. You can view art from your own home! It is better to actually visit a museum to see the art. It is amazing how different a Monet looks in person versus as a print.

If you are looking for great art to view online, check out Google Art Project. The Project even lets you zoom right up close to the art work. No security guard here to yell "Back off! You are too close! Don't touch!"

Idea for this post came from: lines and colors :: a blog about drawing, painting, illustration, comics, concept art and other visual arts » Google Art Project expanded.

In the meantime, I'm back in my studio working on some crafts and gathering materials for an online workshop. More on both in upcoming posts.

If you know of any "arm chair museums," share here, please! Is there a museum that you wish would share their art this way? Which museum and why?

They are terrific! I rely on them for my Integrated Arts course. The students love it.
