About:
Palm trees are protective, nurturing, practical, and gorgeous and somehow silly. In Florida, miles of green palm trees are expected and depicted in most art. Consciously rejecting the idea of realism, the majority of this palm tree art has an Absence of Green. This art exhibit of palm trees is punctuated by green, existing here among the oranges, browns, reds, purples, blues, and yellows. Green is absent to highlight the shapes and patterns created by palm trees. Aspects and expressions of palm trees are explored through textures and patterns.  Absence of Green, an art exhibit to express the love of palm trees with minimal use of the color green.

Save the date! You are invited to share more art at my exhibit Absence of Green at Homestead Chamber of Commerce, Florida on November 14, 2012. Exhibit will run through January 4th, 2013.

Smiles!!!!

That's fast becoming my favorite color. I used to prefer turquiose, but the oranges are growing on me. Nice piece.
