When I left for California to take Leslie Saeta's workshop, I carried Andy-made AWESOME canvas holder and an easel carrier.
Oil paintings take months to dry. This is one reason I HATE oil paint...but...ok, maybe the carrier and hot glue gun method will work. Well...this painting smudged in spite of my best efforts while inside the carrier. It was my lack of following directions that lead to some smudging of a couple paintings.
Andy raced to the studio upon hearing my yelp of anger and calmed me down from cursing in Spanglish immediately: "I'm not sure how it looked before you left California, but I definitely like it better now because it looks like your palm trees, with your textures."
Andy once again saved my day. He almost always knows exactly what to say at just the right moment.
