Fridays in France: The Apartment and Second Mom with Fate

Paris, France, to live like a full-time artist. To feel Paris like an artist by visiting all of the museums, places, buildings, foods, and all of the exotic treats for the senses. To gorge on art collected in the museums of Paris. To create my own art - not copy from the masters but maybe influenced by them and the places they visited.

The apartment is about 360 years old.

Is beautifully tiny...

yet comfortable for one or two guests.

This will be my outside resting place, when not out in the city.

Welcoming gates to the apartment.

Paris! It seems to always be the "it" place for art and artists. The impressionists gathered an met in Paris. Artists for the last 200 years visit and live in Paris. I want!

You might ask, why not New York City? NYC is a short plane ride away. Domestic flights are easy, but to fly to Paris! How many chances do you get to fly to Paris, France!? Few! For a month!? Even less! With an apartment? LESS still!

Who know that my second mom Angie would still be laughing at me, even after being in heaven for four years? If not for her, would not have studied with Baruj Salinas. If not for her and attending Baruj's classes, where we met Tony and Ben. Ben has owned the Paris, France apartment for years, and he would offer to rent it to any one in Baruj's classes. If not for my current day job, this adventure would still be a dream. This is a once-in-a-lifetime chance to live in an artists' dream city for month! God & fate laugh, too!

Sadly, I will be mostly alone: Andy is going on an Alaskan Adventure (he will get a better title idea, I'm sure!) during the summer that uses up his vacation time (geesh, EIGHT weeks apart this year!)…y Mama doesn't want to travel any more (I love you, Mama!).

Paris: art, food, creating, inspiring, painting, journaling, finding muses!!!!

This is the second in my blog series Fridays in France about my upcoming adventure in Paris, France this September, 2011. Plus, learn how you have a tiny piece of Paris, France sent to YOU!

Next Friday in France: How Curious!!!
